Quentin Rademaker Dot Com (formally know as HardwareXL.com) is a daily updated Technology and PC Hardware news and information site established in 2004. The primary content is hardware reviews, but also articles on various tech subjects as well as personal stories (seeing this site also acts as my personal blog). I strive to publish fresh content, which is informative and enjoyable to read. Everyone involved with Quentin Rademaker Dot Com are technology freaks, but we are also humans just like you with personal stories to tell.

Quentin holds the title of Editor-in-Chief at Quentin Rademaker Dot Com. His main responsibilities include editing and publishing reviews/articles, managing advertising and sponsorship opportunities, product photography, and writing reviews and articles of his own.

Want Your Product Reviewed?
If you are interested in having your product reviewed, please contact us by filling out the form below, in which you state the company you represent and the product that you would like reviewed. It is a good idea to include a brief description of the product as well as a link to where more information may be obtained. Emails usually receive a response the same day. Essentially, your request will be either rejected or accepted. If accepted, shipping details and any other necessary information will be given.
It is our policy to keep the products we review unless we have signed a written loan agreement before the product is shipped. There are several reasons we have implemented this policy:
1). Often times we will re-test products at a later date to compare with other products we are reviewing; this is especially common with hardware but applies to all types of products.
2). We have several means by which our readers post comments and ask questions about our reviews and articles. It is quite difficult to offer technical support to our users if we no longer have the product in question.
3). I myself dont get paid a penny for my work nor do contributing writers. I as well as any contributing writer puts a lot of time and effort into each and every review they write and the only compensation they get for their work is the products and reqonition by readers.
In the case that we must return a product, the sponsor must pay for all shipping costs. Additionally, Quentin Rademaker Dot Com and its’ contributing writers are not responsible for products that are shipped without the consent of myself Quentin Rademaker.
What types of products does HardwareXL cover?
We cover a wide assortment of products from consumer electronics to computer hardware. We also cover enterprise-level products. Apart from tech related products we are also in the works of reviewing websites and software.
What is the expected turn-around time?
We ordinarily post a review within one month from the date that the product is received by a member of our staff. During this time we will keep you updated as to the progress of the review, and any issues we come across.
Can I see the review before it is published?
Yes, but we will not edit a review unless there are grammatical or factual errors.
Rating System
We do not believe in assigning a numerical score to products. While this may make it easier for a reader to evaluate a product, numerical rating systems are often flawed and can be misleading. The problem with numerical rating systems is that they need to be complex to really mean anything. If we were to cover a very specific product or group of products, it would be feasible to create a meaningful numerical rating system, but we cover a very broad range of products so it is not. Imagine rating an MP3 player based on the same criteria as a video card, or a digital camera - it simply wouldn’t work. Not to mention the incredible pace at which technology constantly evolves and changes. Such a rating system would have to be changed often, and then older ratings would no longer be comparable with newer ratings. As you can see, there are plenty of potential problems with this sort of a rating system.
Rather than subjectively stamping a numerical score on every product we review, we have an assortment of awards which we may give a product based on specific and universally-applicable criteria. Awards are not given to every product we review; rather they are reserved for those that stand apart from the crowd. Some of the awards we may give out are Editor’s Choice, Must Have Hardware, Recommended, and Great Value.
