A few week have gone by, and my girlfirend is getting more and more familiar with Vista (she was a XP fan). Today she had a problem with the trash can. Well….problem. You can say it was the result of 2 seconds of brain malfunction. She , by accident, deleted the trash can from the desktop.

So… how do you retrieve the trash can? I thought that Microsoft must have had a programmer or product analyst that took in account that there are people that stupid enough to delete their trashcan…. So they have a very simple solution for it….

- Read Carefully, follow instructions correctly -

Right-click somewhere on the desktop background, and select Personalize from the pop-up menu. The select “Change desktop icons” on the left hand-side under the Tasks heading. In the Desktop Icon Settings window, check the Recycle Bin box and click OK and your done. It’s as simple as that.

Now password protect the system so your girlfriend can never use it again, ever. Give her some money to buy a book or somthing.
